We all know that. Big Deal! I get a 1099 for my winnings each year and I also record my expenses, etc. and provide to my CPA. Let’s see, maintain my Amateur Status for little gift certificates ! I’ve outgrown that. Unless you are going to play for the U.S. Amateur, why is keeping Amateur status important. If you really want to get to the next level or want to play in a Professional tournament – play the IGTA Tour.
I play on the IGTA Tour. So did D.A. Points, Jared Turner and many other current PGA, Nationwide, Hooters, Tar Hill professionals. Even though it is a handicap tour with a 5,000 to 10,000 1st Place prize, it offers golfer’s with all abilities and desires a level playing field. It teaches you patience and discipline. Great for upcoming Senior tour wannabe’s. If you can’t make it here, you’re probably not going to make it anywhere.
THERE ARE SOOOOOO MANY MORE WAYS TO BECOME A PRO. mini tours, TOP 4 in the MONDAY QUAL, go to Q-School, Or you can just declare yourself a pro with out having played in any tourney’s..not to hard.
